Strollers 101 is about providing opportunities for our community to learn and grow. Our goal is to bring people together to work on their craft and further explore their passion while we strive to create better theatre. All workshops are open to the public. No prior experience or affiliation is necessary. All workshops begin at 7 pm at the Bartell Theatre. The workshops are a “drop-in” format, no reservation is needed. There is a suggested donation of $5 ($3 for Strollers Members) at the door.
Instructor - Scott Bennett Participants will work on various techniques for auditioning with cold readings and monologues (non-musical), including working on some provided cold reading sides. Tips on proper etiquette and decorum will be shared, including choosing the right monologue for the audition and building a repertoire for future auditions. If interested, participants will be invited to attend the 2nd week session, which will focus on prepared/memorized monologues. It is not required but encouraged to attend both sessions. Participants will be assigned a monologue or may choose their own.
